Team Leader Advancement Programme
Taking into consideration relevant managerial and organisational objectives for you and your team, a series of personalised, one-to-one sessions focused on around a single goal. It may be to accelerate team leadership skills and increase your awareness of the value and of team-building. It may be to plan and deliver a development programme for your team. Goals may also include:
- Increasing team leadership performance including the management of individual team members, disrputive or poor performers.
- Exploring and progress team leadership qualities, expand the reputation of the team or resources available to it.
- Better management of team pressures and team conflicts.
- Improved healthier lifestyle or life-work balance, addressing the pressures of team leadership and other demands of the workplace.
After acceptance onto the programme, dates and location for the sessions confirmed. Sessions are usually held fortnightly for one hour, booked in advance at the Accomplice premises.
The first session will be focused on confirming the participant’s requirements and on their ‘team story’ to date. Subject to this assessment, the shape of the remaining programme will be agreed, aligned to the specific learning objective(s) of the participant. The final session would comprise a review of learning and identification of any ongoing actions that may be required (of the participant, their sponsor/line manager or others).
Team Leader Coaching Programme
The Team Leader Coaching Programme for those wanting to address team leadership, team issues and obstacles to effective team-working in an informal yet confidential setting – outside both work and home. The programme is also used as a ‘follow’ on support after the more structured and goal-oriented Team Leader Advancement Programme.
Sessions are booked in units of six, the subject-matter for each session dictated by the participant at the start of the session. Sessions last for approximately 50 minutes and no longer than an hour. They begin with the participant setting a realistic objective for the session and conclude with any actions the participant agrees to take away.
On receipt of the participant’s enrolment form, the coach will contact the participant for an informal discussion, confirm acceptance onto the programme and set up dates for the sessions. On completion of the programme, the participant is asked to evaluate their experience and confirm the progress made.
Team Advancement Programme
Use this programme to supplement or maximise your time as a team leader. Briefing the consultant at Accomplice, we can offer more objective challenge and resources – to accelerate learning and delivery of one or more of your team members.
Enrollment
Participant Actions
For the fullest benefits to be realised, participants should:
- book a 2 hour review time after each session to complete their interim tasks; and
- return tasks and other items to the consultant or coach on or before the agreed dates.
Participants are advised to assemble a continual development record to evidence their learning – and ideally a team portfolio, including their key information, notes and evidence of team development. Team:Accomplice materials may then be added to the portfolio throughout the programme.
On completion of the programme, the participant is asked to evaluate their experience and, where agreed, confirm the content of a summary note of progress for submission to their sponsor.
Dates
Programmes run four times a year, on Accomplice premises, usually on the first and third tuesday of the month:
- Winter: December & January
- Spring: March & April
- Summer: June & July
- Autumn: September & October
Session times are arranged around the participant’s availability.
Alternatively, request a customised programme for yourself or a number of team leaders with dates and venues to suit your needs.
Fee
Fees begin at £825 per person for the excluding VAT.
Additional modules may be purchased, subject to requirements:
Due to the prior booking of rooms and consultants, non-emergency cancellations made later than 5 working days before the session may incur a £100 cancellation fee.
If fees are to be paid by your organisation, the relevant sponsor’s contact information (contact details and billing information) will be required.
Application
To apply for the programme, the participant submit an application which includes an outline Team Learning Needs Assessment.
Confidentiality
All information shared before and during the sessions is treated as confidential. In the unusual event of the participant (or others associated with them) being deemed to be at significant health or social risk, the consultant will require the participant to relay key information to the relevant statutory bodies. Should participants refuse to seek the support of the services, Accomplice reserves the right to relay such information on their behalf – and would advise the participant in advance of their intended action.
