Career Planning

Wednesday, 16th July 2008 12:30pm to 4:45pm

Venue: BioCity, Nottingham

The career:accomplice programme aims to hone your career skills and maximise your performance in selection processes. Designed for all professionals who want to steer their careers proactively, those thinking of changing job or career direction, and those who want to prepare for enviable job opportunities that arise unexpectedly. The interactive training combines good practice with reflective exercises to achieve outstanding career skills - and keep them finely tuned.

In completing this first Unit of three, participants will construct an achievable Career Plan. By the end of the day, each delegate will:

  • know what a plan looks like: its content and structure
  • have generated information to inform their plan - as well as their CV, applications, interviews and other career processes
  • have begun an assessment of their career: needs, capabilities, potential contribution and limitations
  • aligned their career plan to their home-life (or even retirement) needs
  • consider how to ensure that there plan is realised
